The good news in 2022 was that many jobs lost in the pandemic were recovered, resulting in the number of people FFA supported dropping
42% from the preceding year. Yet demand for our services was still high, with 68,700 foodinsecure community members served.
In 2022, FFA tracked rescued food for the first time. We are proud to have rescued 98,000 lbs. of high-quality food through Amazon Fresh and Food Rescue DC. Otherwise, this food would have been wasted and ended up in a landfill.
Overall, after the massive growth that occurred during the pandemic, FFA has reached a sustainable level of operations in collaboration with our committed volunteers, generous donors
and socially conscious partners.
